The Problem

Pragya Choudhary, the growth specialist at ProjectPro was seeing below par open rates despite optimizing subject lines, sender name, sending time and personalisation. With low open rates, the email body received dismal conversions. To get help, she reached out to the customer support team of the tool she was using to get best practice recommendations. But she never heard back. Frustrated, she decided to explore other tools in the market that would help her get higher open rates and conversions. Her search led her to Mailmodo.

The Approach

So far, Pragya had not factored in email deliverability which greatly influences whether the email lands in the inbox. With Mailmodo, Pragya discovered fragmented batch scheduling a feature that is specifically focussed on improving deliverability. With this feature, she could schedule or send bulk campaigns in increments over seven days. This helped warm-up the domain. When a domain is warmed up, chances of emails landing in the inbox is higher, influencing open rates. So, Pragya warmed up the domain by sending the campaign to recipients in batches of different sizes and at different times. She also increased sending volume with every batch. She started tracking and analysing which batch size achieved the highest open rates.

Journey forward:

Excited about the better open rates, Pragya shifted focus to the email body. She sought expert consultation to learn new ways to get higher conversions and increase demo bookings in email. Based on inputs from Mailmodo’s team of email experts , Pragya is currently experimenting with placing the button in the first fold and adding an interactive calendar. They are also currently monitoring these recommendations and experimenting with Mailmodo-Calendly integration to drive higher demo bookings inside email.
