How to set up email authentication?
Setting up email authentication mostly means updating SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records in the DNS of your sender domain.
For this, you need access to DNS records of your sender domain (think Godaddy, Google Domains, etc.). Let’s say you are using subdomain.example.com to send emails; then, you will need access to the DNS records of example.com.
Following the below steps, you can easily set up email authentication.
You need to get the TXT record for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC from your ESP or SMTP. This can be found in your ESP's sender settings or documentation pages. Listing down the records page of popular ESPs and clients - Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Gmail, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, ConvertKit.
Go to the DNS page of your Domain Service Provider (like GoDaddy or Google Domains).
Create a new TXT type of record for each authentication.
Update the value of the TXT record with the value obtained from your ESP.
Go back to your ESP and check if the records have been verified.
