How often have you felt that a brand just read your mind when you saw one of their emails? Uber emailed me a few weeks ago, showing my experience with them. Such emails reflect that brands genuinely use the information you share to offer you a good experience. We want you to be one of such brands so customers can’t stop obsessing over your emails. So, buckle up, as we're about to reveal three personalization ideas that are more than just adding the user's first name. |
3 ways to create a personalized experience 🚀 |
1. Let customers know they need to refill Send refill/restock reminder emails at the right time to encourage recurring purchases. This tactic works as you reach out to them before your competitors and nudge them to buy from you. For example, if your customer bought a Pedigree pack for their dog 2 months back, send them a personalized email as a reminder to buy it again. The consumption time for this item is 2.5 months. So, hit them when their intent to buy must be at its highest by sending a personalized refill/restock email. 💡Pro tip: Run special discounts and offers and include compelling visuals to increase sales. |
2. Encourage subscription renewal Don’t just send a subscription renewal reminder email. Help them visualize how you’ve made their life easier. This will encourage them to renew their plans. (Check the snapshot below for email copy inspiration.) For instance, browse your product data and see features that your users used the most and how they helped them achieve their goals. 💡Pro tip: Use FOMO to your advantage. Talk about all your new features in the pipeline to instill fear and propel them to renew their plan.
3. Send back-in-stock emails I hate that feeling when I scroll through a website, hunting for the right pair of shoes, and when I finally find them, they're out of stock! Your customers hate it too. So, as a brand, you can capitalize on this situation. To do this, you can add a ‘notify me’ option near the out of the stock message. (Check Zara's snapshot below.) Users with high buying intent would be more than happy to get an email. Send them an email as soon as the product is back in stock. 💡 Pro tip: Specify the date they opt for notification and if the time period is too long, nudge them to buy with a discount code.
